Christmas, River, Noël Blanc breathe new life into these familiar chestnuts.
A surprise duet appearance by Mitsou Gelinas on Renée Martel's As-Tu Vu Le Père Noël? is charming and jazzy and a re-imagined 90's pop duet Hey Santa (en français) with chanteuse Ingrid St-Pierre is sophisticated and groovy. The album features Emilie-Claire’s usual cast of stellar musicians as well as Québec music scene luminaries Jean-François Beaudet (gtr) and Melissa Lavergne (percussion).
Lumières d’hiver is Emilie-Claire's homage to the beautiful winters of Québec and the Québécois who celebrate it with warmth and charm.

Lauréate d'un Félix et de deux Prix JUNO, la chanteuse, réalisatrice et arrangeure Emilie-Claire Barlow présente Lumières d’hiver, son 12ème album mais son premier album de Noël en français qui fait suite à Winter Wonderland lancé en 2006 qui a lancé sa carrière au Québec.
L’album marque une nouvelle étape dans l’évolution musicale d'Emilie-Claire Barlow. Lumières d’hiver comprend pour la première fois trois compositions originales d’Emilie- Claire et Steve Webster (Lumières d’hiver, Janvier et Le dernier Noël) en plus d’un original mélange de chansons hivernales et de chansons de Noël.
Des immortelles River, I’ll Be Home for Christmas et Noël Blanc
en passant par As-tu vu le Père Noël? (de Renée Martel) avec la participation de Mitsou Gelinas et Marie–Noël (Claude Gauthier) et des surprises – la version française de la chanson Hey Santa (des sœurs Carnie & Wendy Wilson) avec Ingrid St-Pierre en plus d’une étonnante relecture de la pièce Combien de Noël de Tricot Machine!
Avec Lumières d’hiver, Emilie-Claire Barlow rend hommage aux hivers québécois et aux gens qui les rendent si merveilleux!
